OberlinKids Qualitative Research
Myself, Katherine Cziszar, Bella Tillford, Maya Levanon, Anthony Ramos, and Isabelle Ricardo collaborated to form the Oberlin Student Marketing Team. In this group, we were tasked with conducting survey research for the local non-profit organization OberlinKids, whose mission is "To give each child birth to kindergarten who live in Oberlin the opportunity to be successful in school and in life, to support our children and families, and make our community stronger." The purpose of this research was to help OberlinKids find more efficient and effective methods of helping the parents and young children in the Oberlin community.

RFP Summary,
Projected Goals,
& Planned Products
In this document, you can find a summary of the RFP, along with our teams projected goals and planned products for the project.
03
Progress Reports
These weekly reports were sent by our group to Jenn Keathley, Director of OberlinKids, and largely take the form of emails with attachments that include materials like posters and data analysis. The emailed progress reports informed our contact at Oberlin Kids of the actions we had taken that week to help her organization and also answer any questions she had presented. While we also corresponded outside of these reports, they served as a reliable weekly check in for both parties.
04
Surveys
Our group largely worked with two shorter, intercept surveys: one in which we collected in person and one in which we collected virtually via posters throughout the town of Oberlin. In-person events included Oberlin Kids in Motion, Walking in a Winter Oberlin, and the initial Oberlin Kids Winter Photo Event. Once all of this data was collected and organized, we were able to analyze it and make a final report to the client.

05
Data & Analysis
Our group collected data from a number of locations and events. With these links, you can view our raw data file, the visual report we created for the Family Photos & Winter Fun event data, and the final analyzed findings from all data collected throughout the course of the project.
06
PechaKucha Presentations
We gave two PechaKucha presentations throughout the course of this project. The first focused on our plans for the project and how we intended to reach our final result. The second gives an overview of the project, ending with a concise review of our team's recommendations.

07
Group Contributions
Each member of the group described their personal contributions to this project, in which most of the work was done outside of designated class time. From attending events to survey parents to data collection and organization, all members contributed in a meaningful and self-described manner.
08
Final Report to Client
For maximum clarity, we decided to present our findings and recommendations to the client through two different methods, a detailed written report, and a short-form video report.
